Teaching a New Kind of Teacher

This 16-week online certificate program nurtures teachers and mentors to guide with wisdom, creativity, inspiration, and deep transformation.

Where is wisdom to be found today? We need a new kind of teacher, changemaker, and soul worker calling us into new guiding stories for how to live wisely together on our troubled but still-vital homeworld.

Pronoia Academy's Depth Teacher Certificate invites current and aspiring teachers of many kinds to engage with and explore the depths of the personal and collective psyche, the source of both troubles and medicine for addressing them.

Graduates of the Certificate will be equipped to advise deep learners, begin depth consulting, teach courses, lead workshops, facilitate wisdom circles, and design transformative learning experiences.

Those desiring to learn how to teach, mentor, and present.

Change-makers, edge-walkers, educators, mentors, coaches, storytellers, counselors, storytellers, healers, nature guides, creatives, and leaders yearning to bring imagination, inspiration, psychological insight, mythic literacy, ecological awareness, and meaning-centered learning into their communities, practices, offices, platforms, and classrooms.

Certificate Structure

The Certificate is made up of two 8-week modules:

Foundations of Depth Teaching and Mentoring
Advanced Depth Teaching and Mentoring

Each week includes:

Live 2-hour training sessions online;
Assignments for that week;
Readings and other resources;
Discussion space in Lampcove;
Exercises, activities, and reflective tasks;
Opportunities to teach, mentor, and present;
Respectful feedback so you can improve.

The Certificate is taught by expert instructors with years of experience teaching and presenting to deep learning and lasting transformation.

Total learning time: 60 hours (30 per module).

Quite a few of us accumulate a large background in the deep stuff - reflection, meditation, dream interpretation, movement and somatics, wisdom traditions and practices, consciousness studies - without ever being taught how to pass on what we have learned.
