Carmen Sorrenti is an artist whose work includes the alchemical Pholarchos Tarot and the covers for Dr Craig Chalquist’s fiction. In this interview we will be discussing the nature of creativity, visionary art, working with dreams, techniques like the carnival of colour and the mythic theatre on canvas, as well as creative block and how to overcome it.
We will also cover Sounding the Dreaming, a method Carmen is devising to stimulate a deeper fluency with our creative nature and a more conscious relationship with the collaborative aspect that calls in the soul of the world. We will also reflect on how art can be a form of lamplighting - making change through creativity and inspiration - as well as a spiritual practice.
