World Dreamings

Most dream theories and practices hold the images, figures, landscapes, and characters of dreams to be aspects of ourselves. This is often true, but what about when we dream about a huge wave coming in and find one in the news the next day? What about war dreams that anticipate real-world wars? Pandemic dreams? Scientific breakthrough dreams? Historical turning points in our dreams?

Beginning with basic dream theory and practice, this course moves into what to do with dreams that reflect happenings in the world around us. We are more intimately tied into our place and time than we often consciously realize. What do such dreams want of us? 

This course offers:

1. A method for exploring your dreams, initially on the personal level;

2. Examples of "world dreams" in which big external events show up in night dreams;

3. Exploration of why these dreams occur and what they might be asking of us; and

4. A look at how nature, place, and planet show up in our dreams.
